Where to find jobs¶
For anyone searching for internships, new grad or 0 to 3 year roles. Set up the bookmarks and alerts below once, then run the 30-minute routine every weekday to catch roles posted in the last 24 hours.
Where interviews actually come from¶
Find roles anywhere. Apply on the company's own site. Huntr's data on its users (job seekers across all fields) shows the gap.
| Route (Huntr Q2 2026) | Interview rate per application |
|---|---|
| Employer career sites | 6.42% |
| ATS domains (Workday, Greenhouse, Ashby and others) | 5.29% |

| Source (Huntr 2025 annual, 598,627 applications) | Response rate |
|---|---|
| Google Jobs | 11.3% |
| Wellfound | 6.0% |
| Glassdoor | 5.5% |
| Handshake | 5.1% |
| Welcome to the Jungle | 4.5% |
| Indeed | 4.5% |
| 3.1% | |
| ZipRecruiter | 2.8% |
| Dice | 0.35% |
Sources: Huntr Q2 2026, Huntr 2025 annual. This is observational data, so read it as direction, not a guarantee.
Use sources in this order:
- GitHub job lists and SWEList alerts (fastest signal for new grad and intern roles).
- Company career pages with saved filters and alerts.
- Google search across ATS domains, filtered to the last 24 hours.
- LinkedIn saved searches for the last 24 hours (to discover roles, then apply on the company site).
- Student and startup platforms: Handshake, Wellfound, YC Work at a Startup.
- Aggregators as backup.
GitHub job lists¶
Start here. The lists update daily, and Simplify's README says its monitor scrapes career pages at top companies every hour.
| List | What it covers (Oct 4, 2026) | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Simplify Summer 2027 Internships | 1,854 open roles: SWE 617, DS/AI/ML 675, hardware 315, PM 149, quant 98 | Check every morning. Apply to rows aged 0 to 3 days first |
| Simplify Inactive (closed) list | 1,520 closed Summer 2027 roles | Note the month each target company posted. Put it in next year's calendar |
| Simplify Off-Season list | 1,329 open Fall 2026, Winter 2027 and Spring 2027 roles (US, Canada, remote) | Missed summer? Apply here |
| Simplify New Grad Positions | 507 open new grad roles: SWE 295, hardware 98, DS/AI/ML 85, quant 17, PM 12 | Same daily routine if you graduate in 2026 or 2027 |
| SpeedyApply 2027 SWE College Jobs | US and international intern and new grad lists with a salary column | Use its international intern and new grad files for UK, Europe, India and Canada roles |
| SpeedyApply 2027 AI College Jobs | AI and ML intern and new grad roles | Second source for ML roles |
| vanshb03 Summer 2027 and New Grad 2027 | Community lists, last updated Aug 2026 | Cross-check only. Updates have slowed |
| zapplyjobs Internships 2027 and New Grad Jobs 2027 | Auto-updated lists | Backup feed |
| Jobright 2026 SWE New Grad | Auto-updated new grad list | Backup feed |
| NUFT 2027 Quant Internships | Quant intern list | Quant applicants: check from June |
| Canadian Tech Internships 2027 | Canada roles | Canada-based students |
The legend at the top of each Simplify README:
| Symbol | Meaning (README wording) |
|---|---|
| Passport control | "Does NOT offer sponsorship" |
| US flag | "Requires U.S. Citizenship" |
| Lock | Application closed |
| Fire | FAANG+ company |
| Graduation cap | Advanced degree required (Master's, PhD, MBA) |
How to work the Simplify tables:
- Scan the Age column. Apply to rows 0 to 3 days old first.
- Ctrl+F for your target companies and role words.
- Click through and apply on the company page, not a mirror.
Watch out: the sponsorship and citizenship symbols are rare. Only 78 of 9,271 Summer 2026 rows carried the no-sponsorship symbol, and the open Summer 2027 list had zero flagged rows on Oct 4, 2026. A missing symbol does not mean the role sponsors, so Ctrl+F the job description every time (sponsorship check).
Turn on alerts: SWEList emails you when new roles land in the Simplify lists. Both Simplify READMEs point to it.
Company career pages¶
Save each page with your filters applied, then turn on the site's job alerts.
| Company | Link | Filter or trick |
|---|---|---|
| Early career jobs, Intern and apprentice jobs, India early career | Add &q=software%20engineer to the URL. The Early filter also shows sales and data center roles, so filter by title. You can apply to at most 3 Google jobs in a rolling 30 days (How we hire) |
|
| Amazon | Amazon University, SDE search, AWS careers | Join the university talent community for alerts. Amazon reviews on a rolling basis |
| Microsoft | Students and early career, Job search portal | Get your referral in before you apply. Simplify reports Microsoft cannot attach one after a general application (roadmap). Summer 2027 intern postings accept applications in the first week of each month, August to February (example posting) |
| Meta | Students and recent grads | Filter for "University Grad". No Meta Summer 2027 SWE intern row was in the Simplify list on Oct 4, 2026, so set a job alert |
| Apple | Students, Internship search | Bookmark the filtered search |
| Netflix | New grad search | Check late September to October. After applying, finish the separate Airtable form Netflix emails you (Simplify guide) |
| Palantir | Students and early talent | FDE path. Check citizenship lines on defense roles |
| OpenAI | Job board | No intern, new grad or residency titles on Oct 4, 2026 |
| Anthropic | Careers | Early-career doors are the Fellows Program and Claude Corps (programs) |
Every other company: open its company guide for the careers link and process.
Watch 10 to 20 companies with public job feeds¶
Many companies publish open roles as public JSON through their ATS. You can read it in a browser. No scraping and no login.
- Open any job link from the company and find the board name in the URL. In
job-boards.greenhouse.io/anthropic/jobs/...the board isanthropic. - For Greenhouse, open
https://boards-api.greenhouse.io/v1/boards/[board]/jobs. Example: Anthropic feed. - For Ashby, open
https://api.ashbyhq.com/posting-api/job-board/[board]. Example: OpenAI feed. - Ctrl+F for "new grad", "early career", "intern", "university".
- Check your 10 to 20 target feeds once a week, or automate it. Jugal's Ultimate Job Search Workflow with n8n pulls fresh roles daily, scores each one against your resume and logs them in a Google Sheet. Setup: n8n automation.
Google search across ATS sites¶
Jugal's method skips LinkedIn and searches the hiring systems directly. He went from 127 LinkedIn applications with zero responses to 65 applications, 22 responses, 8 interviews and 4 offers in four weeks (Stop Applying to Ghost Jobs).
The query below adds Ashby and Oracle Cloud, which his original list missed. Among open intern and new grad links on Oct 4, 2026: Workday 39.1%, Greenhouse 10.3%, Oracle Cloud 8.3%, Ashby 5.6%, iCIMS 4.5%, SmartRecruiters 2.3%, Lever 1.9%.
("software engineer" OR "software developer") ("new grad" OR "early career" OR "university grad" OR "entry level" OR "engineer I") (site:myworkdayjobs.com OR site:job-boards.greenhouse.io OR site:boards.greenhouse.io OR site:jobs.ashbyhq.com OR site:jobs.lever.co OR site:oraclecloud.com OR site:icims.com OR site:smartrecruiters.com OR site:jobs.jobvite.com OR site:successfactors.com)
- Paste the query into Google. Swap the title words for your role.
- Add
&tbs=qdr:dto the end of the results URL for the past 24 hours, or&tbs=qdr:wfor the past week. Or use Tools, then "Past 24 hours". - Add a location in quotes if you need one, for example
"Seattle". - For one company, search its domain directly:
site:amazon.jobs "software development engineer". - Run it twice a day, morning and afternoon. Searching once a day is one of the mistakes Jugal lists in the same post.
Watch out: the 24-hour filter goes by when Google found the page, which can differ from the posting date. Check the date on the job page itself. Workday job pages live on
myworkdayjobs.com, so use that domain insite:.
Also search "[role] jobs" on google.com. Google's job panel had the highest response rate in the Huntr table above.
LinkedIn¶
Use LinkedIn to discover fresh roles. Apply on the company site when you can. LinkedIn as a source showed a 3.36% interview rate in Q2 2026 vs 6.42% for career sites (Huntr).
Build saved searches with these URL parameters (verified on the logged-out page, Oct 4, 2026):
| Parameter | What it does |
|---|---|
f_TPR=r86400 |
Posted in the past 24 hours |
f_TPR=r604800 |
Past week |
f_TPR=r2592000 |
Past month |
sortBy=DD |
Newest first |
f_EA=true |
"Under 10 applicants" |
f_AL=true |
Easy Apply only (skip this one) |
Past 24 hours, newest first:
https://www.linkedin.com/jobs/search/?keywords=[role%20keywords]&location=[Location]&f_TPR=r86400&sortBy=DD
Past 24 hours, under 10 applicants:
https://www.linkedin.com/jobs/search/?keywords=[role%20keywords]&location=[Location]&f_TPR=r86400&f_EA=true&sortBy=DD
- Make one bookmark per role family, for example "software engineer new grad" and "machine learning engineer new grad".
- Turn on the job alert for each saved search.
- Look for the "Be an early applicant" label.
- Use title keywords, not the "Entry level" filter. Posters set that tag, and it returned Senior roles in testing.
- For your top roles posted in the last 3 days, apply and also message the team lead or hiring manager (Jugal's routine). Templates: Outreach templates.
A ready example: software engineer new grad, US, past 24 hours.

| Higherin | UK placements and year-in-industry roles (formerly RateMyPlacement) |

UK students: the Graduate visa gives 2 years if you apply on or before Dec 31, 2026, and 18 months after that (GOV.UK). Details: International students.
Freshness: why week one matters¶
Most big employers review on a rolling basis. A posted deadline is rarely the real one.
| Evidence (as of Oct 4, 2026) | Number |
|---|---|
| Summer 2027 listings already closed in early October | About 45% of all tracked, 47% of SWE |
| New grad listings closed over about 7 months | About 79% of 2,401 tracked |
| Jugal's Aug 20, 2026 internship links closed within about 6 weeks | At least 13 of 66, about 1 in 5 |
| Simplify README | "Many SWE internships only stay open for a few days" |
| Microsoft Leap postings (per Simplify) | Can close within 24 to 48 hours |
Jugal's arithmetic: if a company reviews 200 applications a week and fills interview slots in three weeks, your week-one application competes with 200 people. In week five it competes with everyone before you for what is left (post). His example numbers are illustrative, not data.
Do this: apply within 3 days of posting, and write the posting age in your tracker so you can see your own median.
Ghost jobs¶
A ghost job is a posting with no real intent to hire soon.
| Data point | Source |
|---|---|
| 18% to 22% of jobs listed on Greenhouse in a 2024 quarter were ghost jobs. Nearly 70% of companies on the platform posted at least one in Q2 2024 | Fox6 on Greenhouse data |
| 39% of surveyed hiring managers said their company posted a fake listing in the past year. Top reasons: look open to talent, signal growth, reassure staff, collect resumes | Fortune |
| 93% of job seekers applied to or suspect a ghost job | Huntr Q1 2026 |
| "There are no official statistics on the magnitude of ghost jobs" | Congressional Research Service |
New rules (as of Oct 2026):
- Ontario, Canada (from Jan 1, 2026): employers with 25+ employees must say if a public posting is for an existing vacancy, include pay or a range no wider than $50,000, disclose AI use in hiring, and tell interviewed applicants within 45 days whether a decision was made (Ontario ESA).
- New York: a bill requiring employers with 100+ employees to say whether a role will be filled within 90 days passed both houses and awaited the governor's signature as of July 2026 (SHRM). No signature was reported as of Oct 4, 2026.
60-second ghost-job check¶
- Posted within the last 7 days (LinkedIn time, Simplify Age column, or the ATS page date).
- The same req is live on the company's own careers site or ATS page. Only on an aggregator? Find it on the company site or skip.
- The same title has not been reposted over and over for months.
- The posting names a team, a location and concrete work, with a pay range where the law requires one.
- No "talent community", "future opportunities" or "evergreen" wording. Those mean pipeline building.
Fails two or more: skip it. Fails one: apply only if it is a top target, and pair it with outreach.
Job scams¶
72% of surveyed job seekers ran into a job scam (Huntr Q1 2026). The FTC's rules of thumb: honest employers "will never ask you to pay to get a job", and "no honest potential employer will ever send you a check to deposit and then tell you to send on part of the money" (FTC). Run this check before you share any personal details:
- The posting exists on the company's own careers site or ATS.
- You had a real interview before any offer.
- Nobody asked you to pay for equipment, training, or "placement".
- The recruiter's email uses the company domain, and their LinkedIn profile matches.
- You did not share your SSN, passport, or bank details before a signed offer through the company's HR system.
Your 30-minute daily search routine¶
Based on Jugal's weekday routine (Stop Applying to Ghost Jobs). Do it Monday to Friday.
- Open the SWEList email and the Simplify list for your track. Note roles 0 to 3 days old (3 min).
- Run the Google ATS query with the 24-hour filter (2 min).
- Open your LinkedIn past-24-hours saved search (2 min).
- Open 10 to 15 roles in tabs (3 min).
- Run the 60-second ghost check and the JD decode on each. Keep the best 3 to 5 (10 min).
- Apply to those 3 to 5 on the company site with a tailored resume (the rest of your time, see Application strategy).
- Log each one in your tracker the same minute.
Once a week (30 min):
- Search your top 20 companies' career pages and public job feeds directly.
- Check the Simplify Inactive list for companies that just closed, and note their posting month.
- Add new title variants you saw this week to your saved searches.
